By downloading, installing, or using the SafeKida application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
SafeKida is a parental control application that enables parents or legal guardians ("Parents") to monitor and manage their children's ("Children") device usage. The Service includes:
You must be at least 18 years old and the legal parent or guardian of the child whose device you monitor. By using SafeKida, you confirm that you have legal authority to consent to monitoring on behalf of the child. SafeKida complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
You must create an account to access full features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to update it as necessary. Each account is limited to a single active device session; logging in on another device will prompt a conflict resolution.
You agree to:
Premium features require a paid subscription, individual micro-payment, or referral points redemption. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Android in-app subscriptions and purchases are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play Developer Policies and Google Play Terms of Service. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Account settings. Refunds for Google Play purchases are governed directly by Google Play's refund policies. Other web or iOS purchases are processed through secure payment providers (Apple IAP, Stripe, or PayPal) in compliance with consumer protection laws.
Your use of SafeKida is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein, including location data, app usage data, and device information. We do not sell your personal data.
SafeKida is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that location data will be 100% accurate. SafeKida is a supplementary tool and does not replace active parental supervision, direct communication with your children, or professional child safety measures.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SafeKida and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, device damage, or personal injury, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of California.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at contact@safekida.com.
SafeKida provides two modes of operation for parental control:
1. Control Mode (Paired Device): The parent pairs their account with a child's device. The parent app remotely manages screen time limits, content filtering, location tracking, app blocking, study mode, and device protection settings on the child device.
2. Secure Mode (This Device): The parent activates Secure Mode on their own device to enforce the same parental controls locally. This mode applies the child's content filter rules, app blocking lists, and device protection settings (block VPN, prevent uninstall, parental PIN, restrict settings access, disable camera, block USB debugging, prevent factory reset, prevent DNS changes) directly on the parent's phone. Secure Mode is intended for situations where the parent needs to test, demonstrate, or enforce child safety rules on their own device.
Both modes respect the same feature gating and subscription plan requirements. Secure Mode does not replace or override Control Mode — it is an additional layer of protection that the parent may choose to activate or deactivate at any time.
